I'm avidly looking for a place; sadly, not so much on the Upper East Side. This presumes I have money. I work in the arts!

Best of luck in your search, though!

I haven't thought about that song in a long while. Is "Skin Tight" from Chicago VIII?

There's a station staffer who needs a place to live for the summer while interning with Deloitte. If you don't get an immediate taker for a full year, would that be worthwhile?

Alas, since I don't make 40x the total rent on the apartment, I can't sign a lease under just my name and then sublet to whomever I want. To renew the lease for a year I have to have a qualified roommate ready to sign one along with me. Thanks, though.

Each time this comes up, I try to figure out how it would make sense for me. Alas, it doesn't. :-(

How cool would that be, though?

Exactly. But it would completely nullify the salary differential I got coming down here, as well as adding logistical hurdles.

If I was actually working in Manhattan, and it meant giving up a 1.5 hour train ride each way each day, it would be a stronger proposition.

Well, clearly the solution to both of our situations would be for your company to relocate to Manhattan and give you a raise.

Start working on that, will you?
